Scholarship's Interview Experiences

Assalamualaikum to all readers. it have been a very long time i havent wrote any entries for yall. honestly, there are so much things happen this lately and im quite lost, lost, lost...losing hope. so today in shaa Allah i will write an entry on what ive going through since i received my SPM results till today, i stepped out from UPM.

Alhamdulillah, after 2 years struggled for spm, ive achieved the result i really wanted. Straight As with 6 A+ and 3 A. im very out of my mind. im quite sad (but still grateful)because my biology was A. This is the first year an assistant head of facilitator of biology obtained A not A+. Cikgu Rahimah was so down i cant help. Im sorry.

Alright now, let me share yall some experiences of scholarship interviews ive going through.

Felda Global Ventures Scholarship
okay this is a corporate company wish to sponsor not more than 10 students out of 2+++ of applicants to study in UK. The lucky students will be taking A level Programme at KYUEM before fly to UK. the interview was not so tough as expected. You only have to undergo examminations of English and Maths. Not so kind of "exam" lah, the english one looks like Quiz. Maths, was more to percentage and profit and accountancy so juniors, their maths were exactly tak macam spm haha wasting time if u do practice. And then you will be divided into a group of 6. You will be given a study case, discuss it in your group and present. All of you have to talk and give opinions. Tell evrything that you have in mind and ignore your grammatical error ok. Chill. And then the panels will ask you to sit in front of them and sell yourself. This is the best part which you can bajet bajet power and annoyed your group members ahaha.

oh ya, only 1++ applicants will be shortlisted for the first stage. and only 50 applicants will be shortlisted for second stage. My rezeki is not with FGV, they didnt give me any call for the second stage takpa. Move on.


JPA Scholarship
Alright this is the scholarship i really wanted. There was no exam as FGV. You will be divided into a group of 6. And each group will be divided into a group of 3. this is because during the interview you have to do a task in a form of argument. There were 3 sessions, debate, bahas and IQ game. Fun, the IQ game was fun seriously. what you have to do is to be confident, you have to do well in the first session so that you could gain the spirit to do more better and better for the other two. Trust me. My teammate is a chinese, our first session was bahas, she could not do well in bahas. so once the bahas session ended she told me that she was really down and wanted to go home. This is freak ok. Just enjoy the interview and everything will be fine. the tasks given were not so tough. For bahas, we got the tittle of  wajarkah hukuman rotan dijalankan di malaysia and for debate was earth pollution. The very common issues right. Chill.


Pusat Asasi Sains Universiti Malaya
Okay this one was fun. Since my name started with S so i hve to wait for hours for my turn. Same goes to other interview, you will be divided into a group of 4-5. the panels were lecturers. Some of them might be Dr or Prof, so pls be professional. you will be asked one by one about your background, sell yourself okay. promote the good personalities that you have. Always tell them the positive side of you. And then the panels will give you a scenario, discuss and present. Thats all for PASUM, short and fun tho. i can bet you that the interview for pasum only take abt 15 minutes, bcs the students are thousands so ya faham kan?

MARA scholarship
This is quite ridiculous where you go to interview wearing sport attires. I thought that there will be a physical test of what but nahh, nothing k. They just wanted the students to feel calm and cool during the interview sessions. Mara stuffs were quite ridiculous, one group consist of 10 students. The more the students the less the chance you get to speak out. That was happened to me. I felt so faking down bcs i spoke less. So i was not confident in getting this scholarship. Alright mara provided you two sessions, one was group discussion and the other one was a game. the game was fun tho, at my time they asked us to create a drinking bottle holder using ribbons and cellophane tape. and you have to promote it to the panels. Quite funny too bcs the students were so lebat in promoting things ahaha. but seriously my mara group was the best. We hve whatsapp group too :) see the bonding.

Alright thats it. Alhmdulillah rezeki di mana mana. Kalau kita niat nak belajar in shaa Allah tuhan permudahkan. okay pasal result i dapat mana i will post another entry. so hopefully this experiences i shared might be useful to juniors. Dont worry about the interview, the main thing is to have some faiths and everything will go pretty well and smooth. Goodluck xoxo.
